Penn State Altoona's University Jazz Band will perform at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, in the Wolf Kuhn Theatre of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. The performance is free and open to the public.
Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber, professor of music at Penn State Altoona, and alumna Brandis Ajay will perform with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra at “Italian Night at the Symphony” on Saturday, April 13.
Designed for all levels and abilities for those over 18, this class will provide instruction on classic jazz warm-up techniques, stylized movements, and dynamic choreography exercises.

A Pennsylvania native, Wemple writes frequently about the people and places of the Susquehanna Valley. His work includes three poetry collections: “You Can See It from Here,” selected for the Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award, “The Civil War in Baltimore,” and “Artemas and Ark: the Ridge and Valley poems.” He is also the author of two poetry chapbooks.

“Something About the Sky” by 2023-24 Penn State Laureate Lori Hepner will be exhibited in the McLanahan and Sheetz Galleries of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts March 28 through April 27. The exhibit features a new series of cloud drawings and skyscape light paintings featuring movement created through Hepner’s performances in the studio using wearable LEDs.
